Costumes can be very expensive (like $50 expensive) and often you only use them once. Not to mention that you can hardly find unique costumes because everyone buys the same ones at their local Halloween costume store. So why not make your own affordable costume? I found five very clever costumes that require very little money and are easy to make. (Though small children are dressed up in these costumes it doesn’t mean you can’t make these in a larger scale for older kids and even adults). Get creative!
Colonel Sanders Costume
This idea is just phenomenal! Next time you go to KFC make sure you keep your bucket so that you can use it as a prop for your costume.
Mario Costume
Sure you can find this costume at a Halloween costume shop, but doesn’t it look more authentic when you make it out of real jean overalls?!
Peter Pan Costume
Precious. I can hardly believe this is homemade! I’m sure you can find all the necessary materials for this costume at your local craft store.
Candy Costume
What I love most about this costume is the candy themed hat they have used to further accessorize the costume! This candy costume is super cute and looks easy to wear too.
Cotton Candy Costume
Sooo creative! Love the ingredient/bar code tag!
Bonus: Toilet Paper Costume
This is very funny and I’m sure would be a hit at any Halloween party!
I hope these ideas have inspired you to go and make your own costume or at least made you smile!
