Isn’t This Clever Facebook Timeline Upgrade

Hello everyone! Spring is soon to come and new things are already blooming at Isn’t This Clever. This announcement may not seem like a big deal to everyone but I feel it must be addressed. We’ve changed the Isn’t This Clever Facebook page to reflect the new timeline format. The timeline wall design posts status updates on the left and right hand side instead of streaming them all down the middle. Nevertheless, the most current status update is still the one at the very top. We will still be posting coupon codes, giveaways, and clever tips; that is not going to change, so please stay tuned. One of the challenging things for most company pages utilizing this new timeline format is making sure non-fans find the LIKE button. The LIKE button is now hidden behind the “LIKES” box. So if you haven’t “liked” our Facebook page, now you know how to do it :) If you’re already a fan, please don’t be thrown off by the new design. It’s still the same Isn’t This Clever team, we just got a facelift ;)

Thanks for reading everyone!

Finders Keepers vs Finders Key Purse

Keep Your Keys Handy!

When Sandy Stein decided to name her product, Finders Key Purse ®, she thought it would be a cute play on words. After all, the key finder helps women FIND their KEYS in their PURSE. For some people it is a bit of a tongue twister (Repeat three times: Finder Key Purse key finder).  And, through the years the name has been misspelled or misinterpreted by many. Here are the most common mistakes: Finders Keepers, Finders Key Keepers, Purse Key Keepers, Purse Finders (this one sounds like a whole new product invention in and of itself), and Key Keepers. Though, Sandy Stein is the original creator and patent holder of the Finders Key Purse ® key finder, many have tried to knock her off thus making the product name confusion even worse. As for Sandy, she doesn’t mind the name confusion too much as long as you eventually find your way to the original key finder named FINDERS KEY PURSE.  If you’ve never heard of it, watch this video:

5 Clever Kitchen Tips

You can’t always put all the tips you hear or read about into practice, but you can definitely choose one and try it. A while back, I read that if you apply plain yellow mustard to stubborn tomato sauce stains on your plastic storage containers before washing them, the stains will come right off. I tried this tip and it works like magic! I was so impressed I called my husband and showed him. He didn’t quite understand why I was so elated but I didn’t care. The point is that it works and now I use this tip all the time!

Today I’m going to share five clever tips that you can use in the kitchen. Again, don’t feel like you have to try them all. My advice is to choose one and stick to it.

  1. To cover small scratches on ceramic sinks, tiles, or white refrigerators, use typewriter correction liquid to cover them.
  2. Vegetables should always be added to water that has already been boiling for two minutes in order to ensure that a high amount of nutrients are retained.
  3. To remove strong food smells from your hands, dunk them in coffee grounds then wash with soap and water.
  4. Insert paper plates between fine china plates before stacking to prevent scratches.
  5. To prevent mold from forming on refrigerator door seals, wipe them over everyone now and then with white vinegar. *This tip also works on washing machine seals.

Life can get pretty busy so make sure you simplify it as much as you can ;)

Have a great weekend everyone!
